A lot of power in a little space Flexible milk preparation all included The WMF 2000 S coffee machine stands for quality and variety The world of coffee is getting more diverse. Coffee specialities are still extremely popular and their preparation has to meet increasing demands. The “WMF 2000 S” coffee machine offers a high quality of beverage with a great variety including coffee drinks mixed with hot chocolate, geared to average requirements. And the “WMF 2000 S” has focussed its particular attention on the theme of milk. There are three models of the “WMF 2000 S” available: the standard version with integrated milk frother, the “steam milk” version for manual frothing of milk or the “dual milk” version that combines both types of preparation in one machine. In the “WMF 2000 S” therefore, besides fully automated preparation of coffee specialities it is also possible to froth milk manually in keeping with the traditional method. And for lovers of the southern coffee flair it hits the spot, as the typical steam noise remains that ensues when frothing milk in a jug. The machine supports the barista in preparing perfect milk froth with technical refinements such as a temperature sensor and automatic air supply. The air supply, whether stronger or weaker, regulates the quality of the milk froth. And there is a choice of three qualities of milk froth: standard, fine and superfine. On reaching the set temperature the steam release is halted. By means of the override function the cutting off can be bypassed to heat up milk especially hot. For safety reasons however, on reaching a temperature of 85°C it is shut down. Manual frothing using the “steam milk” and “dual milk” options allows for a possible choice of different types of milk. On request milk froth can be prepared using, for example, non-lactose milk or soya milk and milk with different fat contents can be selected according to taste. Where convenience and speed are essential the fully automatic preparation at the touch of a button is recommended. Customers put together “their personal machine” The modular construction that has proved to be splendidly successful in the market has been systematically applied in the case of the “WMF 2000 S”. The customers decide which model fits their concept ideally. The machine can be equipped with either one or two grinders, or with and without Choc or two choc types. All variables such as brewing temperature, grinding level, amounts of water or ground coffee can be freely programmed. The eight buttons in the display area can have double assignments. Depending on the model and settings the button symbols are hidden by the invisible effect. This way the clarity of the key panel is supported. There are no distractions. If a change of the button assignment is preferred, different to the standard, a key legend download is available on the WMF website at www.wmf.de. A further highlight is the LED lighting symbols with an almost unlimited choice of colours. That creates the right atmosphere, always corresponding in colour to the ambience of the room. Measuring 325 x 680 x 556 mm (WxHxD) in size, the “WMF 2000 S” is only a little wider than the long side of a DIN A sheet of paper. With a maximum hourly/daily capacity of up to 200 cups that provides a lot of power in a little space. Cleaning made easy Cleaning the machine is as easy and effective as could be. The optional provision of the patented “Plug & Clean” cleaning system is an elegant and convenient solution to the problem of cleaning the parts in contact with milk. Place the milk tube on the adapter, start the cleaning programme with the button – and that's the milk system cleaned. The automatic cleaning programme takes care of the rest after inserting the cleaning tab. The milk frother is regularly cleaned at intermediate intervals according to a freely programmable cycle using cold and hot water and a steam jet. Soaking the parts in contact with milk in a cleaning solution is only necessary once a week. That is both ecological and very economical. By the way the materials used can almost completely be reused. The central institute for nutrition and food research at the Weihenstephan Science Centre of the Technical University, Munich has confirmed that “Plug & Clean” is just as effective as the standard cleaning systems that are considerably more involved and it has certified the HACCP regulations fully. |
